Two winners at Madison Square Garden, yeah.
NBA star Jalen Brunson appeared on the June 28 episode of WWE SmackDown, much to the delight of the Madison Square Garden crowd. The New York Knicks star confronted Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers when he was about to help Logan Paul use his brass knuckles in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Thanks to Brunson's help, LA Knight went on to win the bout, which also included Santos Escobar.
In a SmackDown digital exclusive, LA Knight commented on what Kayla Braxton called a chaotic win.
"I’ll tell you what’s a little bit of chaos and a little bit of fun is what you’re doing right now because you’ve never said my name with such excitement. You must have been feeling the undeniable kavorka out there, I’ll tell you why. Because here was Logan Paul, here was, oh, what, he brought his little friend out there from the Pacers, didn’t he? Well, guess what? Secret came on in, and he’s gonna come on in right now. Jalen Brunson from the New York Knicks, gonna run the Pacers out of town, and guess what? Next time around, it’s gonna be a little different, isn’t it?" Knight said.
Brunson had walked up by that point, and he noted that the next time would indeed be different. Braxton then asked him to comment on his appearance, and he stated that it was a dream come true.
“That was awesome. I’m just glad I got to go out there with him, and it’s a dream come true," Brunson said.
Knight went on to note that sometimes the best weapon was one that you didn't know that you had. He stated that it might be Brunson's game at Madison Square Garden, but it was LA Knight's game too.
"Sometimes, the best weapon that you can have is a weapon you don’t even know you got. Here’s the thing, I come out there, we’re getting a hometown pop, all that, and all the sudden, here comes the man himself, and everybody goes nuts. Everybody goes wild. Why? Because whose game is it? Well, it might be his game, might be the Knicks’ game, but everybody knows it’s LA Knight’s game. Yeah," Knight said.
