LA Knight discusses how Roman Reigns' previous challengers differ from him.
Knight is currently scheduled to challenge Roman for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at Crown Jewel on November 4th. However, Knight is a massive underdog heading into the matchup with Reigns.
Reigns has knocked off some top competition in WWE since becoming champion over three years ago. These names include the likes of Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes, who fans were all behind to dethrone Reigns.
While speaking to Inside The Ropes, Knight was asked how his title challenge would be any different to the aforementioned names who have tried and failed to take the title away from Reigns. Knight, confident as ever, simply told fans to tune in to see how different he will be to the other talent who have fallen to Roman.
"You know what? I'm not gonna ask you to believe that it's gonna be different now. What I'm going to do is I'm going to say: 'Hey, show up and see why it's different', because the bottom line is every one of those guys, they kind of came in from a different angle as far as the way they're approaching this whole thing. Again, I said this the other night, I'm not looking to finish a story, I'm not looking to finish anything, I'm looking to start something new and that's what we're gonna do." Knight said.
Roman has been champion for 1160 days as of this writing, and has only been pinned once since December 2019, at the hands of Jey Uso back at Money In The Bank 2023. Knight will look to bring an end to Roman's reign at Crown Jewel.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Knight expressed his surprise at having the opportunity to work with John Cena. You can read more here.
