LA Knight: Save The Congratulations For When I Beat Seth Rollins And Win The World Title

LA Knight has his sights set on Seth Rollins' World Heavyweight Championship.

LA Knight had a remarkable 2023, as the fans' support helped propel him to the main event of WWE Crown Jewel, where he lost to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Knight also came up short in a four-way match for Reigns' title at WWE Royal Rumble. But on the February 12 episode of WWE Raw, Knight qualified for the Men's Elimination Chamber by beating Ivar. The winner of the Elimination Chamber will challenge World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.

Speaking on Raw Talk, LA Knight shared his thoughts following his win. He noted that people have congratulated him for his rapid rise in recent months, but he did not have anything to show for it. Knight stated that everyone could save their congratulations for when he wins the world title at WrestleMania 40.

"Let me talk to ya. There’ve been a little bit too many congratulations coming my way the last few months. Let’s be honest, everybody’s been talking about, ‘You know what, LA Knight, he’s come out of nothing, and all of a sudden, he’s this big star. Some would say a megastar.’ They’d be right. Yeah. Here’s the thing. What do I really have to hang my hat on yet at this point? What do I have to just sink my teeth into yet? I’d say you’ve got a big fat goose egg. Did I win the Slim Jim Battle Royal? Yeah. Have I become pretty much the biggest star running today? Maybe some would argue there’s a couple others up there with me, rubbing elbows. But let’s just go ahead and call it what it is. You’re telling about a man who came from feeble expectations and making it all the way to the top of the damn industry. People want to give me congratulations for that. Nah nah. Save the congratulations. Give me the congratulations when I walk out of Elimination Chamber the number one contender for that World Heavyweight Championship, and then congratulate me two times when I get to WrestleMania and I take it off of Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins," LA Knight said.

Knight continued by noting that Rollins had a nice middle name with "Freakin", but he would be calling himself "former champion" after they clashed. Knight made it clear that the five other prospective contenders would all fall, and he would emerge victorious when it was all said and done.

"Nice middle name you got there, pal. But what you’re gonna call yourself after that is former champion because right now, you’re looking at the future champion. You got five other guys walking into Perth, walking into Elimination Chamber, all gonna get dropped, dropped, dropped. Each one’s gonna get dropped on their head, BFT-style because that’s the only way it can go down. That’s not an insult, that is just a fact of life. Why is that? Because whose game is it? With everybody saying, everybody knows, ‘LA Knight,’ yeah," Knight said.
