Lacey Evans is humbled and ready for this moment.
Now being dubbed as "The Sassy Southern Bell" on WWE television, Lacey Evans is in the midst of possibly reaching the top of the women's division as she is slated to go one-on-one with "The Man" Becky Lynch at Money In The Bank for Becky's RAW Women's Championship. The feud between Lynch and Lacey began after WrestleMania 35 and over the past number of weeks on both RAW and SmackDown, the two have come to blows. This coming Monday, Lacey will join Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in the ring to sign her portion of the contract for Becky's respective double title defense at Money In The Bank.
Lacey Evans was called up from NXT late last year and fast forward five months, she is challenging for the RAW Women's Title. Evans was recently interviewed by Scott Fishman of TV Insider and shared that she did not expect an opportunity of this caliber to arise so quickly but nonetheless she is staying humble and will not let this chance slip through her fingers.
“I’m keeping my feet grounded and staying humble. I definitely didn’t expect the opportunity of this caliber to come this quick,” Evans admits. “But same thing I learned in the Marine Corps and my whole life: Whenever you have an opportunity, you have to take it and run as hard and as fast and give the best you can. I’ve always done that my whole life. One thing I do have is grit, determination and a hell of a lot of initiative. There is no way I’m going to let this opportunity slip through my hands if I have anything to do with it. I’m just so blessed to be here, to be in a story this big. There is only one thing you can do, and that’s make the best of it and give it 100 percent all the time. That’s what I plan to do.”
