Lacey Evans vs. Natalya Set For WWE Crown Jewel In First Women's Wrestling Match In Saudi Arabia

WWE's upcoming Crown Jewel event will feature a wrestling first for Saudi Arabia: a women's wrestling match.

At a special press event the day before Crown Jewel, WWE announced that Lacey Evans and Natalya will have a match on the show, the first women's wrestling match in the history of the country.

Ricky Smokes Announced As WWE ID Prospect

Prior to the announcement, Fightful did confirm that Evans, Natalya and Lana were on their way to Saudi Arabia. Both Evans and Natalya had been embroiled in a feud over recent months that saw Natalya finally gain the upper hand and beat Lacey Evans in a Last Woman Standing match on the October 7 episode of Raw. There is still no official announcement on whether or not Lana will be involved at Crown Jewel.

Fightful Select reported earlier this year that there were major pushes to have women featured on the Saudi Arabia shows. The vision almost came to fruition at this year's Super Showdown, but didn't come to pass, as Natalya and Alexa Bliss had traveled to Jeddah.

WWE sent out the following.
