Lacey Evans is back, and Operation Cobra Clutch looks to take over the WWE Royal Rumble.
Lacey Evans returned to the ring on Friday, January 27, 2023. On WWE Friday Night SmackDown, she defeated Jazmin Allure by utilizing the Cobra Clutch submission hold.
After winning the match, she probably declared herself as an entrant in the 2023 Royal Rumble match, in the process becoming the 11th woman to do so this year.

Evans hadn’t competed since November 11, 2022, when she took part in a Six-Pack Challenge that Shotzi won. She hadn't won a match since a June 26 live event where she defeated Shayna Baszler in Odessa, Texas. Recent vignettes have shown Lacey Evans embracing her military background, and now, she looks to enter the battlefield of the Royal Rumble Match in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
