The Murderhawk Monster has returned to AEW.
During the January 12 episode of AEW Dynamite, Hangman Adam Page came to the ring and addressed his successful title defense against Bryan Danielson last week and posed a challenge to the locker room as he begins his search for his next challenger.
Dan Lambert then came out and told Hangman to stop calling himself a cowboy while also praising the path he took to the belt. Soon after, they were interrupted by a returning Lance Archer. At first it seemed like Archer was going after Lambert, with whom he was feuding with before his injury, but instead he attacked Page. The segment ended with Archer slamming Page through an unfolded steel chair.
Archer last wrestled on the October 23 episode of AEW Dynamite, losing to Eddie Kingston in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. Archer suffered an injury in that match, landing awkwardly on his head after an attempted moonsault.
