Layla Would Love To Reunite With Michelle McCool To Face Former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions

Layla is open to a WWE return.

The former Diva's Champion has been away from wrestling for nearly a decade at this point, last wrestling at a untelevised house show for WWE in 2015. At the time, Layla stated that she was retiring from the sport due to the grueling travel schedule.

There is a chance that Layla could make her return to WWE in the near future, especially if it is for a reunion with her former LayCool partner, Michelle McCool.

“Yeah, now there is. Before, absolutely 100% no, I was not open to anything, I wanted a break, I wanted to get away. But now? Absolutely. Before I get too old and I can’t come back and do anything, yeah, one more time. I would honestly come back to do a Lay-Cool reunion. If that is possible and that is something that could happen, why not? It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. We had a lot of fans when we were together. I would love to reunite with my best friend just one more time.”

Layla went on to name Chelsea Green and Piper Niven as two stars that she'd like to work with if she made her return to the company.

“I’d say, I love watching Chelsea Green and Piper. I love their work, they’re great, I think that would be — I think that could work. I think that we could probably have a small run with them, something."

At the tail end of the conversation, Layla also praised both Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill.

“Also, is it Stratton? I think she’s gonna be a huge star. I really do. Her look, her gear, but her in-ring skill is — I watched her in the [Elimination Chamber] and I was like, whoa. She killed it. I feel like she stole that match, she was the star. Jade would be amazing too, Jade’s gonna be a huge star.”

Jade Cargill is currently out of action due to a plethora of injuries. Check out WWE's most recent medical update on Cargill by clicking here.

Chelsea Green is currently in the midst of competing in the WWE Women's United States Championship tournament. That tournament is set to continue on Friday's edition of WWE SmackDown.
