Legendary Deathmatch wrestler, Seiji "Tarzan" Goto has passed away at the age of 58.
Following a battle with liver cancer, Tarzan Goto passed away on Sunday, May 29. During his career, he was best known for his Deathmatch wrestling and even took part in the first-ever No Ropes Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch. That match took place in August of 1990 and he was defeated by Atsushi Onita.
Speaking with Tokyo Sports, Onita commented on his former rival's passing.
"I can't speak much because of the shock. I can't believe that Tarzan died ..." Onita said. "I don't regret not being able to meet you," said Onita, "for some reason, I'm the only one who survives."
I just heard Tarzan Goto passed away.
