Leon Ruff Released By WWE

Leon Ruff has been released by WWE.

Fightful reports that Leon Ruff was released by the company on August 6.

Ruff is a former NXT North American Champion. He signed with WWE in 2020 after making appearances as an enhancement talent in 2019. He was a regular on NXT, including a feud with Johnny Gargano and Isaiah "Swerve" Scott.

He famously worked enhancement matches for Aleister Black (Malakai Black in AEW) at the start of the pandemic era. He is also a former EVOLVE Tag Team Champion with AR Fox.

He is set to compete on the August 6 episode of 205 Live where he will face Grayson Waller.

Ruff has yet to comment on his release.
