President elect Donald Trump has paid back the McMahon family after a decades long relationship. Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon will serve as the administrator for the Small Business Administration, the transition team announced Wednesday.
"Linda has a tremendous background and is widely recognized as one of the country's top female executives advising businesses around the globe," Donald Trump said in a statement. "She helped grow WWE from a modest 13-person operation to a publicly traded global enterprise with more than 800 employees in offices worldwide."
McMahon, a republican, ran unsuccessfully for US Senate twice. She spent decades working with the WWE, and is married to longtime owner Vince McMahon.
It was revealed during the Trump Presidential campaign that the McMahon family had donated millions to The Trump Foundation. Trump also performed for the WWE at WrestleMania 23, and hosted two WrestleMania events in the 1980's.
