Lio Rush is heading back to his old stomping grounds.
Maryland Championship Wrestling announced that Lio Rush will be a special guest at Jimmy's Slamboree on Saturday, June 1. Shawn Spears (formerly known as Tye Dillinger in WWE) and the Guerrillas of Destiny will also be at the event. Jimmy's Slamboree will help benefit The Bruiser, who is currently battling leukemia.

Rush started with MCW in 2014 and wrestled for the promotion until 2017 when he signed with WWE. His last match in MCW was against The Bruiser on Aug. 21, 2017. Rush is a former MCW Tag Team Champion, holding the titles with Velveteen Dream.
Rush hasn't appeared on WWE television since the Superstar Shake-Up and has not been backstage at recent events. It's been reported by multiple outlets that Rush has heat backstage in the company. Rush took the time to explain his side of the story to Fightful, which you can read by clicking here.
