Lio Rush surprises GCW fans.
It looks like Lio Rush's wrestling days aren't quite behind him as he made a surprise appearance at GCW Homecoming on July 25. Rush was the handler for Yoshihiko (a doll) against Joey Janela. Rush revealed himself under the mask and attacked Janela, laying him out with a frog splash.

Rush was released by WWE on April 15 as part of the company-wide cutbacks due to COVID 19. He has teased retiring from wrestling since his release and released an album entitled 'The Last Match.'
Rush and Janela have been longtime rivals dating back to their CZW days. Janela has previously called Lio his favorite opponent. Following Rush's appearance, GCW announced Lio Rush vs. Joey Janela for Homecoming Night Two.
