Lio Rush Scolded By Peyton Royce, Bray Wyatt, Ricochet After Tweet Directed At Emma; Rush Begrudgingly Apologizes

Sometimes things are better off left unsaid.

Lio Rush made a comment earlier this afternoon on Twitter apparently directed at Emma, who was released from her contract today:

Maven Explains Why WWE 'Backed Down' With The Difficulty Of Training During Season One Of Tough Enough

Emma's last two televised matches on television were against Asuka, so it's easy to assume who he was talking about here. Former and current WWE talent were not happy with this tweet, and made sure to let Rush know about it. Peyton Royce, for example, posted this in response:

Former WWE superstar Milena Roucka (aka Rosa Mendes) also responded to Lio Rush's tweet:

Lucha Underground performer Vinnie Massaro chimed in.

Bray Wyatt, who has been around the wrestling business his entire life, took to Twitter to respond to Rush.

Ricochet, who has performed for New Japan Pro Wrestling, responded to the tweet from Rush.

Former NXT Tag Team Champion Buddy Murphy seemed disappointed in the new NXT signing.

After all of the backlash hit Rush, he took to Twitter to half-heartedly apologize to the released superstar.

Not everyone was convinced by Rush's apology, however. Jack Gallagher took a shot at Rush's English skills.

This all stems from a number of releases WWE announced this afternoon. They first announced that Emma had been released, then announced Summer Rae and Darren Young's departures shortly thereafter, with no explanation why as of this writing. Sean Ross Sapp reports that more releases may be coming.
