Trish and Lita kept their words.
This upcoming Sunday at WWE 'Evolution', one of the marquee matches on the night is the return to the ring of WWE Hall Of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita. The two former multi-time WWE Women's Champions will team up to take on another pair of multi-time WWE Women's Champions in Alexa Bliss and Mickie James in a tag team match.
The women of WWE are taking center stage on October 28th and to help make the event feel more special as we near closer to it is former SmackDown Live Women's Champion Natalya. Over the past few weeks leading up to WWE Evolution, Natalya has been interviewing stars who will be a part of the show for her weekly blog post in the 'Calgary Sun'. The latest to be interviewed by Natalya was Lita and during their conversation Lita shared that she and Trish have always stated that if they were going to come back for a standard wrestling match, they would do it together.
“We’ve always said if we came back for a match, we’d want to do it together,” Lita said. “We didn’t get to have any interaction in the Royal Rumble, so we’re making up for that now. It’s great knowing your best friend is out there with you and you just know you have each other’s back’s 100%. I can’t wait to get out there with her at Evolution.”
Natalya then asked Lita how is she doing physically and Lita replied that she feels great these days and has not been training hard, but more-so training smart.
“I feel really great these days,” she said. “I don’t train hard, just smart. I want to be able to move and feel good, so while I prioritize activity, it’s not always a gym thing. I do yoga, rock climbing, hike and surf. I will hit the gym some days just to get in and out, but I prefer to get outside and feel my body perform, rather than sets of traditional exercises. Living in California, I have the luxury of year-round weather and I take full advantage of it.”
