Lita Reflects On Her Return To WWE SmackDown, Says Her 2022 Goals Involve Competing At WrestleMania

Lita reflected on her return to SmackDown.

Last week, 19 of the 30 competitors for the Women's Royal Rumble match were revealed. Lita was one of the many notable names included on the list. This will be Lita's second time competing in the annual bout, first taking part in the 2018 edition.

The WWE Hall of Famer made an appearance on the January 14 episode of WWE SmackDown, her first time on the blue brand since competing in a tag team match on March 19, 2002. The four-time Women's Champion came to the ring and said, "I think I've got one run left in me." Though she hasn't competed since October 2018, Lita is intent on winning the Royal Rumble and walking out of WrestleMania with a title around her waist.

Charlotte Flair then interrupted and reminded Lita that she is also in the Royal Rumble match and plans on throwing her, just like every other woman, over the top rope. Flair and Lita traded insults before a physical altercation broke out which ended with Lita dropping The Queen with a Twist of Fate.

Appearing on the newest edition of Talking Smack, Lita said last night was a nice precursor to the Royal Rumble.

"It was a blast. Honestly, I know it's been forever since I've been on SmackDown but it felt like I was home. It was just nice to hear my music hit, get out there, and be in front of the fans again. A little nice precursor, a no-stress precursor to Royal Rumble where the pressure is on," she said.

She continued on to explain why competing at the Rumble means so much to her and how heading to WrestleMania is one of her goals for this year.

"Alright, so this one means a lot to me because this is the easiest, although it is extremely difficult, way to guarantee yourself a title shot at WrestleMania. I just decided to make so goals for 2022 and it involves heading to WrestleMania, so I am going to stay low so I don't get thrown over the top rope and take out as many people as I can," Lita said.
