Maria Kanellis-Bennett says a new person was in line to join The Kingdom before Ring Of Honor shut down.
When the company closed their doors in late 2021, many fans considered Ring Of Honor to have one of the best in-ring products at the time. A big part of the in-ring product for the company at the time was the faction warfare that went on between The Foundation, The Kingdom, La Faccion Ingobernable, and Violence Unlimited.
According to Maria Kanellis-Bennett, The Kingdom was set to get a new member before the promotion shut down.
“Just because this was agreed upon by the group when we were trying to decide how to move forward before Ring Of Honor shut down, it was Miranda Alize. [She was going to be] our female wrestling counterpart. It didn’t end up happening, but that’s who it would have been." Bennett said in an interview with the AEW Unrestricted podcast.
Miranda Alize was a rising name in the company's women's division before they shut down. Alize has competed for the promotion on numerous occasions since it was purchased by Tony Khan in 2022.
Elsewhere in the interview, Bennett noted that she might step back in the ring for one last run. Fans can learn more here.
