Mariah May punches her ticket to the next round.
At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Mariah May faced Saraya in a quarterfinal match in the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament. Harley Cameron accompanied Saraya to the ring and got involved in the action. AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm watched the match from ringside, and she took Cameron out when she tried to interfere.
Saraya overpowered May for portions of the match, but in the end, May scored the win by rolling her up and catching her by surprise.

After the match, Mariah May celebrated her victory with Toni Storm. Mina Shirakawa joined them at the top of the ramp, and tensions rose between Shirakawa and Storm ahead of their title match on the maim card.
Mariah May will face Hikaru Shida in a quarterfinal match in the tournament. Shida advanced to the second round by beating Deonna Purrazzo on the June 29 episode of AEW Collision.
