Mariah May was under contract with AEW earlier than initially thought.

Speaking with Mostly Sports With Mark Titus and Brandon Walker, May was asked about competing at Wembley Stadium.

“It wasn’t really a dream come true because I never thought it would happen. There wasn’t wrestling in Wembley for so long until AEW brought it back. Once they brought it back, when they had their first show in Wembley, I was actually in Japan wrestling, but I was already signed to AEW. So I was like, ‘I need to go, even if I’m not on the show, I just want to go and be around it.’ Then I won the world championship. But it’s an amazing place, yeah," May said,

During the interview, May commented on rubbing Toni Storm's blood on her face after her brutal beatdown. Check out her comments here.

May is set to defend the AEW Women's World Championship against Nyla Rose on the September 4th episode of AEW Dynamite. Fightful will have coverage of the show as it airs.
