Mariah May feels stuck in the middle.
While May is now an active member of the AEW roster, before that she was a top name in STARDOM where she would work closely with Mina Shirakawa. Mina has been popping up on AEW television more and more lately, most recently coming to the aid of Mariah following her match with Harley Cameron on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.
While speeking to Sportskeeda in a recent interview, Mariah was asked about STARDOM talent popping up on AEW television, with May noting that she feels like she is stuck in the middle.
“It’s a little bit awkward for me because Mina [Shirakawa], when I was in Japan, I have this thing where I attach myself to beautiful, talented women. So when I lived in Japan, Mina was my mentor, and she was like my girlfriend. Now, Toni’s there, and I’m in the middle. STARDOM and AEW, it’s Toni and Mina, and I’m right in the middle."
Since making her AEW debut, Mariah has been under the tutelage of current AEW Women's World Champion Toni Storm, with Mina and Toni vying for Mariah's attention in recent weeks.
