Mark Briscoe is set for AEW debut in a tribute match to his late brother, Jay Briscoe, on the January 25 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Tragically, the wrestling world lost Jay Briscoe (Jamin Pugh) in a car accident on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
Jay's brother, Mark, is slated to make his AEW Dynamite debut on January 25 against one of his brother's most significant rivals in Ring of Honor, Jay Lethal.
Tony Khan announced this match on Twitter, noting that it would be seen as a tribute in honor of the former Ring of Honor World Champion.

Jay and Mark Briscoe never officially appeared on AEW television despite being under contract to Tony Khan and Ring of Honor. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported that the new bosses at Warner Bros. Discovery gave AEW permission to book Mark Briscoe.
I'm told the new bosses at WBD gave AEW the permission to book Mark Briscoe on Dynamite.
