Mark Zuckerberg Says 'It's Time To Move On' From Idea Of Cage Fight With Elon Musk

Mark Zuckerberg is moving on from the idea of a proposed fight against Elon Musk.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says while he was serious about his proposal to fight Elon Musk, it is time to move on since Elon will not confirm a date and, in Zuckerberg's opinion, doesn't appear to be serious about the offer.

"I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious, and it’s time to move on. I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead," Zuckerberg posted on Threads, Meta's app-only Twitter (X) alternative. “If Elon ever gets serious about a real date and official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise, time to move on. I’m going to focus on competing with people who take the sport seriously.”

Social media chatter about the proposed fight began on June 21 when both parties agreed to a fight on the Twitter platform. In the time since, wrestling promotions NWA and AAA both offered to host the spectacle, which for now must live on in fantasy booking only, much like Roman Reigns vs. The Rock
