Mary McCormack previews her character's progression in season two of 'Heels'.
The second season of the hit wrestling based drama 'Heels' is set to premiere on Friday, July 28. Fans have been awaiting the show's second season since October 2021, when the first season ended.
Mary McCormack, who plays the character Willie Day, recently sat down with WrestleZone for a interview. In the chat, McCormack discussed her character's progression in season two of 'Heels' and how it involves Crystal Tyler, another character in the show.
“I really enjoyed this season and Willie’s journey in it, because I think the stuff that she gets to do with Crystal is really fun, sort of becoming her mentor. Starting out in season one, sort of putting her in her place and being harsh with her, but really honest with her and training her to sort of earn her keep. Now, becoming her mentor, I love those scenes. I love watching Willie’s personal dreams be fulfilled through somebody else, which is really odd and sad as well. I think what Crystal is doing is what Willie wanted to do. So, I think it’s fun to watch her when she gets to start booking matches and when she’s writing scripts and all of that stuff, she comes to life. She’s super excited and that’s a fun word to watch Willie get to enter.”
Fans can check out the premiere episode for 'Heels' season two on Friday, July 28. The show can be watched on the STARZ app, or on the STARZ channel at 10 p.m. EST.
