Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Matt Cardona discussed his previous stints in AEW and noted that he did not get an offer. Likewise, he said that he did not get an offer after his latest run.

“A month or so ago, I get called, ‘Hey, do you want to wrestle Chris Jericho at Hammerstein Ballroom?’ Hell yes, I do. Another guy I grew up idolizing. We do the weeks of TV, getting reactions in-house, social media, killer match at Hammerstein Ballroom. [Shrugs] Nothing," Cardona said.

When asked why he didn't talk to Tony Khan or others about the situation, Cardona noted that he just went week by week and focused on each show at a time. He also reiterated that he didn’t get a contract offer.

“I didn’t get one [laughs]. Hey, maybe it got lost in the mail. I don’t know," Cardona said.

Cardona was then asked whether he would like to get an AEW contract and if he would be open to it. He said that he would, and he loved his time there. Cardona stated that everything had to be the right situation, and he was not offered anything.

“Of course. I loved my time there. Even this past time in December, I love it there. I think it’s a great company. I think it’s great for the business. I think everybody’s working their ass off there. But everything has to be the right situation, but I wasn’t offered anything," Cardona said.
