Matt Cardona: If Mick Foley Is Really Having One Last Deathmatch, I Should Be His Opponent

Matt Cardona wants to truly prove his worth as the Deathmatch King.

Long before Matt Cardona became the Deathmatch King, back when he was still spending his days booking his fig feds and waiting for the release of new WWE action figures as the Hasbro line of toys had been discontinued, Mick Foley was making a name for himself as the King of the Deathmatch in IWA Japan with matches against the likes of Terry Gordy and Terry Funk.

Years later, Foley has revealed that he has given thought to having one more Deathmatch for his 60th birthday. Mick Foley admits that he would like Matt Cardona to be a potential opponent for him in this hypothetical match and Cardona is all for it.

On Instagram, Cardona made it clear that if Mick Foley is having one more match, it should be against him.

Cardona would later speak to Kings Road Wrestling and say that he would have no problem defending his crown against the 2013 WWE Hall of Famer.

"I am the one true Deathmatch King and I'll defend my crown against any face of Foley," he stated.

Time will tell if Mick Foley actually goes through with the idea of having one more match, but Foley hasn't competed since the 2012 WWE Royal Rumble.
