Matt Cardona Tosses ECW Television Title In The Trash, Says Paul Heyman Can Kiss His Tan Ass

Matt Cardona has thrown the ECW Television Championship in the trash.

At GCW Most Notorious, Matt Cardona defeated Rhino in a match after which he crowned himself the new ECW TV Champion. Rhino, the last titleholder, hadn't held the belt in over twenty years.

Cardona and Chelsea Green came to the ring tonight at GCW Say You Will with the title and a garbage can in hand. Matt said he saw all of the comments online and didn't ask Paul Heyman's advice before utilizing the belt. He added that he hasn't spoken to Paul in over two years, at which time he wrote Heyman a letter saying all he wanted to do was wrestle. As the story goes, two days later, Cardona was released by WWE. As far as Cardona is concerned, Paul Heyman can kiss his tan ass.

Continuing on, Cardona knows that WWE is likely going to hit him with a cease and desist for using their IP without permission, so he decided to retire the title once again. In a move mirroring that of Madusa when she threw the WWF Women's Championship in the trash on WCW Nitro, Cardona tossed the ECW TV Title into a garbage bin being held by Chelsea Green.

The leader of the Boy Band Express then addressed Joey Janela and his opponent on the night, Ricky Morton, by singing a re-worded version of *NSYNC's Bye Bye Bye.

Cardona would eventually lose to Morton via roll-up but attacked him after the match. Janela came to Morton's aid and chased the Cardona's away.

Cardona is scheduled to face Joey Janela at GCW's sold-out Hammerstein Ballroom show, The WRLD on GCW, on January 23. Learn more here.
