Matt Hardy talks Elijah in TNA.
The February 20 edition of TNA iMPACT! featured a number of huge appearances, as Elijah (Elias) and The Colons (Primo & Epico) made their debut for the promotion.
On Friday, February 28, TNA Wrestling confirmed the signing of Elijah.
On the latest edition of The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy chatted about Elijah in TNA and revealed that he encouraged the former WWE star to come to TNA.
“I dig it. I actually saw Elijah a while back at a con, we got to hang out and talk a little bit and this was right after he’d been released from WWE. He’s kind of getting his feet wet, this is his first time outside of Alexandria really and I just told him, I said, ‘TNA is a great place, especially for you because I feel you are more of a storyteller from a character perspective, that’s your biggest strength especially with what you do and how you were doing Elias.’ I said, ‘So, I’d suggest giving TNA a shot if you get a chance because AEW is a little more in-ring driven overall.’ It was very cool that he ended up showing up in TNA and doing a little thing with Joe Hendry.”
