Matt Riddle Gifts Randy Orton A Hug For Christmas, Doesn't Get RKO'd Because Christmas Magic Is Real

It's a Christmas miracle.

A good bromance has taken center stage this holiday season in the form of the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions, Randy Orton and Matt Riddle. Forming their bond shortly after WrestleMania 37, Randy Orton and Riddle have grown closer every week since capturing the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam 2021.

Once upon a time, August 9, 2021, to be exact, Matt Riddle thought he would be ending Monday Night Raw by hugging Randy Orton when he was swiftly greeted with an RKO because, as Randy Orton has shown on multiple occasions throughout the last two decades, he is not to be trusted.

However, Riddle decided to push his luck once again on Monday, December 27. Two days removed from Christmas, Matt Riddle was still warm off of the feeling of the holidays and his belief in a higher power and gifted Randy Orton the only thing he felt appropriate for his best friend, a hug.

Randy Orton was gifted a hug for Christmas.

While standard convention and everything about Randy Orton’s past would dictate that Randy Orton’s Christmas gift to Matt Riddle would be yet another RKO, Randy instead embraced the spirit of the holidays and left Riddle in the ring to celebrate after hugging Randy.

Randy did tease hitting an RKO because what's the Christmas season without a little hijinks.

Randy and Riddle will find out who will challenge them for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship at WWE Day 1 on New Year's Day later in this episode of Raw.
