Matt Riddle is officially on SmackDown.
On tonight’s episode of SmackDown, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle appeared and introduced the former NXT Tag Team Champion, saying that Riddle had his last match on NXT this week and will be on the SmackDown roster.
Fightful Select reported earlier this week that, along with Riddle, additional NXT call-ups are planned and expected to take place over the next month or so.

Whenever Riddle appears on SmackDown proper, it wouldn't be the first time he's appeared on WWE's blue brand. Riddle appeared on SmackDown last year as part of the build to the Survivor Series pay-per-view as NXT was competing against Raw and SmackDown.
Riddle recently had a match against Timothy Thatcher on the May 27 episode of NXT inside the Fight Pit and Angle served as the special guest referee. Thatcher ended up winning the match, wrapping up a rivalry that began weeks ago when Thatcher walked out on Riddle in the middle of their NXT Tag Team title match against Imperium.
