Matt Riddle comments on his future in wrestling.
Riddle was released by WWE on September 22. He had been off television after he accused an officer at JFK airport of sexual harassment in an Instagram post that he deleted on September 10. According to reports, Port Authority officers got a call for a disorderly person who was deplaning, and they met him in the terminal. Riddle was reportedly the disorderly person in question. An internal investigation was launched at that time.
Riddle has been announced for a handful of upcoming matches, including one against Rob Van Dam, but he hopes to make it to Japan in 2024.
"I would say to keep wrestling," Riddle told MuscleManMalcolm when asked what was next for him. "I'm really good at it. Keep doing that. Doing some things that I haven't done before. I've never wrestled in Japan, so that's on the bucket list in 2024, amongst other things."
When asked who he would like to possibly face, Riddle commented, "Kenny is hurt now. I saw that, indefinitely. That was sad. I really wanted to wrestle him. With my release, that could have been an opportunity, but now it's not. There are tons of opponents out there."
Kenny Omega announced on Friday evening that he is sidelined indefinitely after being diagnosed with diverticulitis.
