Hair will be on the line at CMLL’s 85th Anniversary show on Sept. 14.
ROH announced that Matt Taven will team with Volador Jr. to take on Rush and Cavernario in a Hair vs. Hair match in the main event.
“It’s nerve-racking because I’m so beautiful,” said Taven at the press conference. “But I look over here and I see these two greasy mops and there’s nothing that I’d want more than to have all the confetti falling down on me at the end of the anniversary show and holding your hair up in the air -- I’d probably have to wipe my hands off a little bit -- and bring it back to Ring of Honor with me as a little trophy, a little trinket, of my time here in Mexico.”
Earlier this month, Volador Jr. defeated Taven to capture the NWA World Historic Welterweight Title. Since then, the team have been a regular tag team at CMLL events.
The CMLL’s 85th Anniversary show goes down on Sept. 14 at Arena Mexico in Mexico City.
