Maven has high praise for Dave Bautista.
Since retiring from wrestling, Bautista has branched away from Marvel and focused his attention on other projects like 'Dune: Part One', 'Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery', 'Knock At The Cabin', and 'Dune: Part Two'. 'The Animal' has received praise for his acting skills, with many people even touting him as the best wrestler-turned-actor.
As it turns out, Maven agrees with that statement, as he believes that The Rock is just The Rock in every movie that he is in.
“I do. We went and watched, what was it, Knock At The Cabin or whatever movie that he did. To me, he’s the best wrestler turned actor. I don’t see Rock being able to pull that move. [He’s The Rock] every movie. I got sick a couple years ago and it was one of the days I got to spend at home on the couch all day. There were three back-to-back Rock movies, he was the same role in everyone. He played the same guy. Cena’s good, Cena’s actually very funny. Dave can be funny, Dave can be serious, Dave can be menacing, Dave can be sensitive. I think Dave’s a good actor that just so happened to have a wrestling background.” Maven said while speaking to The False Finish (via AdFreeShows) for a new interview.
Bautista's upcoming film slate includes movies like 'The Last Showgirl', 'The Wrecking Crew', and 'In The Lost Lands'.
Elsewhere in the interview, Maven recalled his "cringeworthy" audition tape for WWE Tough Enough. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
