Maven Talking His WWE Theme Song: "I Hate That F*cking Song"

Maven reveals that he was never a fan of his WWE theme song.

Maven Huffman, better known as "Maven" from his days as a member of WWE, stepped away from the wrestling business as a full-time in-ring performer in 2007. He made sporadic appearances at independent wrestling shows in 2015 and 2016 and his last match occurred in April three years ago. The former 3-time WWF Hardcore Champion is remembered for eliminating The Undertaker from the 2002 Royal Rumble match but wrestling fans also remember Maven for his theme song entitled 'Around The Stars' which was created by 'Mercy Drive' and the original song title is 'Memory'.

Maven was a part of Sam Roberts' guest panel at Carolines in New York City to celebrate 200 episodes of the 'notsam Wrestling Podcast'. When Maven walked on stage, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins who were also a part of the panel praised Maven's WWE theme. Maven shared that he was never fond of the song and recalled meeting 'Mercy Drive' in person when he found out that they were producing his music.

“And what’s funny about that song, because I get asked about that song everywhere I go, and news flash, I hate that f*cking song." Those on stage were collectively surprised at Maven’s revelation. “And here’s what, A, is going to show my age -- I still have an iPod so f*ck all y’all, and also, I don’t even own that song in my playlist. Swear to God, but I respect it and I’m here to give the truth and honesty. I have met more people that like that song and thank you guys. I actually met the people that [made] the song one time and I felt like the biggest as*hole on earth because they came up and they’re like, ‘Hey, how are you doing?’ I’m like, ‘What’s up?’ And then they were like, ‘How do you like our song?’ And I’m like, ‘It’s great’, and they were like, ‘Well you know it’s your entrance music?’ I was like, ‘I do now. Thank you.’”

Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins have a clip posted from the 'notsam Wrestling' celebration and that clip can be viewed on The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast YouTube channel.
