May Valentine comments on potentially stepping into the ring.
Valentine has been with the National Wrestling Alliance for three years. She initially worked as Royce Isaac's valet and on-screen girlfriend, and she later shifted into a role as an interviewer and reporter. Additionally, Valentine has been featured in an on-screen relationship with Aron Stevens.
Speaking with Scott Mitchell of PWMania.com, Valentine was asked about potentially switching to in-ring wrestling. She responded by noting that she used to have plans to wrestle, but she paused them because she "fell into" her work as a reporter. Valentine also stated her current role is demanding, so she somewhat stopped her training.
“That’s a hard question to answer. I used to have plans to wrestle, but I paused them. I was so into the work I was doing. I really fell into the work of a reporter. Each day I film, I film about 40 promos a day, so my job is really demanding in itself. I think I just focused so much on that, that I kind of stopped my training. I’ve done about a year of training, but I still feel like it’s not enough. Wrestling is a very hard sport, you have to respect it and take it very seriously," Valentine said.
Valentine also made it clear that she loves working in the NWA, and she doesn't want to go anywhere else, as she is invested with the company. She stated that she wants to see NWA grow and get a TV deal, as she believes that the company has the talent, but they just need the opportunity to get the product in front of more viewers.
"I love working in the NWA. Personally, I don’t want to go anywhere else. I want to see the NWA grow and succeed. I’m truthfully so invested with the company. I want to see us grow, and get a TV deal. We have the talent in the NWA. We just need the opportunity, and bigger viewership," Valentine said.
NWA will hold the first-ever lice episode of NWA Powerrr on January 31. Among other announced segments, Valentine will get married to Aron Stevens on the show. More information is available here.
