Men's Elimination Chamber Match Announced For WWE Elimination Chamber, Winner Faces Seth Rollins At WM 40

Following the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff, Triple H announced that Cody Rhodes would face Roman Reigns in the main event for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Rhodes won the WWE Royal Rumble, giving him the right to choose which champion he wanted to face at WrestleMania 40.

With Rhodes picking Reigns, and Triple H making the match official, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was left without an opponent for WrestleMania 40.

On the February 9 episode of WWE SmackDown, WWE GMs Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce announced that six men would compete inside the Elimination Chamber at WWE Elimination Chamber. The winner of the match would face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.

Randy Orton, Bronson Reed, Kevin Owens, Logan Paul, AJ Styles, The Miz, Bobby Lashley, Ivar, Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Dominik Mysterio and LA Knight were announced as the 12 men who would compete in qualifying matches to earn a spot in the Elimination Chamber.
