The bout was set up at NJPW Strong Style Evolved with Mina confronting Mercedes, who successfully defended her NJPW Strong Women's Chanpionship against Hazuki.

Thought they'll be opponents on January 5, Mercedes and Mina shared a dance on Sunday night.

With a win over Hazuki, Mercedes made the third successful title defense of her NJPW Strong Women's Championship.
