Mercedes Mone will make the most of not having a match at AEW Grand Slam.
AEW Grand Slam, this year extended to both AEW Dynamite on Wednesday and AEW Collision on Saturday, is AEW's most significant TV special of the year. Several titles will be defended, and several top stars will be in action. However, one name that will not be facing any competition is Mercedes Mone.
The current AEW TBS Champion is not booked to defend her championship or even wrestle, and she says she plans on spending the evening in Queens plotting with Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, and Tony Khan as they prepare for the AEW Dynamite anniversary episode on October 1.
"I don't have a match schedule for this week. I just feel like hanging out with my EVPs, Nicholas and Matt Jackson, and the chairman, Tony Khan, of course. We're going to be sitting together, god thinking and plotting steaming plans and just getting ready for our five-year anniversary next week. It's so crazy that AEW has been around for five years, and they just changed the game in professional wrestling," said Mercedes on Barstool's Frank Walks.
