When one CEO goes down, another steps up.
At the end of the April 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry and The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, and Kazuchika Okada) attacked AEW CEO Tony Khan. Officials checked on him as the show went off the air, and Khan's status was left up in the air.
Mercedes Mone then responded to a clip of the attack by encouraging everyone to say hello to their new CEO, referring to herself.

Mone calls herself the CEO; when she cuts promos, she tells everyone to say hello to their CEO. She made her official AEW debut at AEW Dynamite: Big Business. Mone is set to challenge Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship at AEW Double or Nothing 2024. This will mark her first match in an AEW ring, as she has yet to make her in-ring debut.
