Michelle McCool looks back on a match she had with Victoria.
On a January 2009 edition of WWE SmackDown, Michelle McCool and Victoria took each other on in singles action on a taped edition of the blue brand. However, they ended up having to pull double duty that night as the powers that be wanted them to run their match back.
While speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Michelle McCool reflected on the incident, noting the match was redone due to their kicks and punches being 'too good'.
“There was one point where Victoria and I had a match. We came backstage, getting changed, and they came back and said, ‘Hey, y’all need to come back out and do your match again.’ We’re like, ‘What do you mean come back out and do our match again?’ They’re like, ‘Your punches and kicks look better than the guys.’ We’re like, wait a minute, we have to go redo our match because our punches looked too good? That doesn’t sound like an us problem.Chris Jericho stood up for us and he said, ‘If the guys punches don’t look as well, that’s not the girls fault.’ Regardless, we had to go out there and redo our match. There was a period of about three or four weeks that girls couldn’t punch or kick."
McCool is currently scheduled to be inducted into the 2025 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame. You can read more about that here.
