Speaking at Nickel City Comic Con, Foley was asked who he would want to face if he did a last match.

"Who would it be against? I'd like to see a triple threat. Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack. You can do it by way of the cinematic match now, right?

"When I was thinking about that last match, when I announced that intention, there was no shortage of people from every promotion reaching out to me. One guy I probably would have gone with because he clearly had done some thinking about and lined out six great weeks of TV was MJF. We didn't take a photo together. We didn't want to ruin the secret meeting. I heard what he had to say and I really liked it. I have no doubt that he would have pulled it off perfectly. He's so good and in his prime that he could have worked around my weaknesses and played to my strengths. I think we could have done something pretty cool. MJF. Final answer. Take that, Matt Cardona!"

Foley, 59, has not wrestled since the 2012 Royal Rumble match.

MJF is set to face Daniel Garcia at AEW All Out.
