Mickie James received her “care package” from WWE and it so struck a chord with her that she tweeted at Vince McMahon to once again let him know that she was grateful for all of the opportunities.
Mickie James was let go by WWE on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Prior to her release, she was very open about her desire to continue wrestling and even spoke out previously against ageism against women in the wrestling industry.
One week later, she received her farewell package from WWE in a garbage bag with her first name on it.
First, Mickie shared a video of this package, along with a quip from herself about it being appropriate given the nature of her release last week.
Then, she tweeted Vince McMahon, reaffirming that she was grateful for everything WWE had done for her and using the hashtag “#WomensWrestlingMatters”
Dear @VinceMcMahon Im not sure if you’re aware, I did receive my @WWE care package today. Thank you. #AlwaysBlessedandGrateful #WomensWrestlingMatters -- pic.twitter.com/PyDC7ZC9lG

Upon first being released, she stated that what she was going to do now that she is away from WWE is “everything they said she couldn't.”
Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp recently spoke to another name that was released last Thursday, Chelsea Green. You can check out the full interview at this link.
