Mike Santana and Ortiz will finally clash on the October 27 episode of AEW Rampage.
The former tag team partners briefly reunited ahead of AEW All In, and they teamed up together for the Stadium Stampede match at the pay-per-view. After the show, Santana made it clear that he was going his own way. He and Ortiz have sent heated messages to each other in a series of vignettes since then.
The tension reached a boiling point on the October 20 episode of AEW Rampage. Ortiz noted that Santana had been telling the same old sad story as always. Santana fired back by stating that Ortiz had been lying. Ortiz said that he would be the enemy if that's what Santana needed. He agreed to be the villain to Santana's story. They challenged each other to fight in Philadelphia, and the match was confirmed for the October 27 episode of AEW Rampage.
