The Miz says he's giving the fans and Daniel Bryan what they want.
Last week, the Miz refused the challenge of Daniel Bryan for a match at SummerSlam. Then, the Miz was scheduled to make an announcement on Smackdown about SummerSlam but there was no word on their match yet.
Roughly an hour before Smackdown was due to go on the air, the Miz was featured in a video on the WWE YouTube and Twitter account. Accompanied by two security guards, the Miz spoke about all that he provides to the fans in terms of transparency and entertainment. He then said he would be giving Daniel Bryan a gift which is the chance to face him at SummerSlam.
The Miz said the decision came after a long negotiation between his representatives and WWE. These comments by the Miz can be heard in the video at the top of this page.
The two wrestlers have had an intense feud going since 2016 but they have had a connection since Daniel Bryan was the Miz's "rookie" on NXT.
