The Miz Insists Daniel Bryan Is Not "At The Level That He Was Four Years Ago"

The Miz says Daniel Bryan hasn't proved himself since coming back.

About a month after Daniel Bryan was medically cleared to compete, the Miz was drafted to Smackdown as part of the Superstar Shakeup. It set up perfectly a feud between Bryan and Miz after their heated argument years ago on Talking Smack. In an interview with Gorilla Position, the Miz acknowledged that fans want to see them feud but he thinks Bryan has work to do.

"I don't think he's at the level that he was four years ago. He's not and people are all saying 'Miz versus Daniel Bryan; Daniel Bryan vs the Miz.' But he's not at the caliber that I'm at right now. Has he showcased anything since he's been back that he is a main event level talent?....Has he had a match that you go 'Wow, he's back' ?," said the Miz

Bryan and the Miz did interact during a gauntlet match recently on Smackdown where the Miz capitalized on the Bludgeon Brothers beating down Bryan and the Miz pinned him after a Skull Crushing Finale.

In the rest of the interview the Miz talked about his upcoming television show Miz and Mrs, becoming a father, and his hopes of becoming WWE Champion again some day.

The full interview can be heard at the Gorilla Position YouTube channel or the video above.
