A controversial AEW Dynamite promo was addressed by MJF.
During the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite, Bullet Club Gold member noted that he had a roll of quarters with MJF's name on it. He then quite literally showed the roll of quarters with "FRIEDMAN" written across it. The angle was criticized heavily online with accusations of playing into antisemitism.
MJF has often told a story of being bullied when he was younger, with the bigoted aggressors throwing quarters at him. Early Tuesday, he addressed the promo on Twitter.
Tonight that piece of shit, Juice Robinson decided to bring up a story from my childhood that has left me scared.

I’m glad he did. He brought awareness to something we’ve all gone through in one way, shape, or form in our lives.

It's worth noting that AEW sources confirmed that MJF did clear the line. The sources said that it's MJF's story to tell and he wants to tell the story on AEW's fictional television show. MJF being comfortable with the story was also important to the company.
