Main event set for AEW Worlds End.
MJF will defend the AEW Worlds Title against Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End.
MJF owed Joe a title shot after Joe stepped up to be his tag team partner in the ROH Tag Team Title bout against The Gunns (Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn) at AEW Full Gear. On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Joe looked to cash in on his favor, but MJF went against his word, telling Joe to "blow him."
After Adam Cole told MJF to keep his word, MJF said he was willing to defend the belt on AEW Dynamite. However, Joe turned him down, saying he wanted MJF at 100% and not the banged up version that stood in front of him.
It was then agreed that they would meet at AEW Worlds End.

MJF successfully defended the AEW World Title against Joe at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. Joe would then offer his services to MJF, and relinquish the ROH TV Title to focus on the AEW World Title.
