MJF isn't fond of New Japan Pro Wrestling.
With the second edition of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view rapidly approaching, many fans would think that stars from both companies would be promoting the positive relationship between New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling.
Unless you're MJF.
While speaking at the Double Or Nothing post-show media scrum, the AEW World Champion insulted NJPW and made it very clear that he isn't interested in wrestling at Forbidden Door 2.
"Do I have to wrestle at Forbidden Door? Fuck that. It’s a fucking Indie fed. With all due respect, their greatest legend probably couldn’t lace my boots. I think I would make anybody on that roster look silly, and I don’t want to waste my time. I’m a very busy man. I think New Japan Pro-Wrestling sucks. Except that Great-O-Khan guy, he pops me. I like him. Everybody else there is the drizzling shits. It reminds me of a local Indie fed."
MJF did not wrestle at the first Forbidden Door pay-per-view in 2022, as he was absent from AEW at the time.
