MJF Returns To The Ring, Wardlow Retains | AEW Fight Size

Here is your post-AEW Dynamite fight size update for Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

- MJF returned to the ring and faced Wheeler Yuta in his first singles match since AEW Double or Nothing. The two rivals delivered a hard-fought match, and MJF clinched the victory with the Salt of the Earth armbar.

Michin Provides Update On Her Affiliation With The OC

- After the bell, MJF nearly shook hands with Yuta before Lee Moriarty attacked the former ROH Pure Champion from behind. MJF looked on, somewhat disapprovingly, but he was ready to join in on the attack until William Regal came to the ring with his brass knuckles.

- TNT Champion Wardlow defended his title against Brian Cage. The two powerhouses exchanged thunderous blows, and in the end, the champion scored the win.

- After the bout, The Embassy attacked Wardlow and beat up Samoa Joe when he tried to make the save, but FTR came to the ring to even the odds.

- In the main event, Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara defeated Daniel Garcia and Bryan Danielson. Just as Garcia was on the verge of victory, Jericho blasted him with the ROH World Title, and Guevara pinned the former ROH Pure Champion.

- Hangman Page gained more momentum by picking up a hard-fought win over RUSH.

- After the bell, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley came to the ring and stated that he's been waiting to face Hangman for three years. He noted that he respects Page, but that respect will go out the window when they face off in two weeks. Page challenged him to fight him then and there, but Moxley instead stated that this message would be his final warning.

- The Acclaimed celebrated National Scissoring Day. Just as they were about to deliver a bipartisan scissor to unify the country, Swerve Strickland interrupted. He noted that The Acclaimed wouldn't have won the tag titles if not for Billy Gunn. He then challenged Gunn to a match next week.

- Britt Baker announced that Saraya has not been medically cleared to compete, but Saraya got physical on Wednesday.

- Saraya was at ringside for the women's trios match. Willow Nightingale, Toni Storm, and Athena defeated Penelope Ford, Serena Deeb, and Jamie Hayter.

- Jay Lethal tried to beat Darby Allin without Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh, and the duo ultimately cost him the match. They came to the stage, and he told them to leave. Allin took advantage of the situation and pinned Lethal with the Last Supper. He then shook hands with Lethal after the match.

- Jose the Assistant called out Private Private for their lack of attendance in the Andrade Family Office's business recently.

- The Dark Order discussed their upcoming title match on AEW Rampage and expressed how it will be a celebration of Mr. Brodie Lee's final match.

- Anna Jay and Tay Melo confronted Madison Rayne and Skye Blue, setting the stage for a tag team match on AEW Rampage.

- Following her win on Wednesday, Willow Nightingale challenged TBS Champion Jade Cargill to a match at AEW Battle of the Belts IV.

- Ahead of their clash at AEW Battle of the Belts IV, Trent Beretta vowed to hurt Pac and take his AEW All-Atlantic Championship.

- Luchasaurus scored a dominant win over Fuego Del Sol. Jungle Boy attacked him after the match and vowed to break him apart piece-by-piece. Christian Cage stated that the two former partners will face off next week.
