MJF Says It's Almost Like He Quietly Signed A Multi-Million Dollar Contract, Comments On Shooting A Movie

MJF says AEW won.

At AEW All Out, MJF defeated Daniel Garcia, but Garcia attacked him after the match and took him out with a piledriver from the top rope. MJF has been absent ever since, and updates have been few and far between.

Tony Khan Asked About WWE-AEW Show, Says 'In The Next 100 Years, Quite Possibly'

On September 20, MJF took to Twitter/X to respond to a fan who said that it seemed like the bidding war of 2024 was everyone but MJF. MJF responded by saying that it was almost like he quietly signed a multi-million dollar contract and AEW won or something. After deleting the original post, MJF apologized and said he thought that his finger slipped in between takes for the movie that he was shooting.

MJF had been absent for a few months after he lost the AEW World Championship at AEW Worlds End, as he was recovering from injuries. He returned at AEW Double or Nothing, where he made it clear that he was not going anywhere. Tony Khan then said he believed that MJF was back in AEW permanently.

There is no word on when MJF will return to AEW programming. Fightful will provide more information as it becomes available.
