MJF is still owed money by Rosie O'Donnell.
Back when he was five years old, AEW star MJF appeared as a guest on The Rosie O'Donnell show, performing 'You Are My Sunshine' and talking about how he wanted to be a wrestler when he grew up. He recently recounted his experience on the show while speaking to Ariel Helwani, saying he was never sent the large check he was promised.
"So what had happened was, I have an angelic voice. I have the voice of an angel. I don’t know if you’re aware of this Ariel, but I am an all-state tenor 2 in choir. I was the leader of the all-male a capella group known as The Acafellas. Now at that time at 5, I was already a much better singer than anybody else. I mean, I’m a prodigy at practically everything. My mom had recorded me singing and she sent it to Rosie O’Donnell, then Rosie said ‘My God, this kid, he’s got everything. He’s wildly attractive. Wildly modest, as we both know, and an incredible singer.’ So, that’s how I got on the show. Unfortunately, Rosie was supposed to send me quite a large check for my appearance and she forgot. But, I got to meet Britney Spears in the back [before she started] going absolutely insane and shaving her head bald, so that was interesting," he said.
Continuing on, MJF said that Britney kissed him on the cheek and told him he was cute, though he did not return the compliment.
"She kissed me on the cheek and told me I was cute. I told her she was okay. She was kind of chubbing it up at that point. Little bit of water weight. More than she needed," he said.
